SubTool Delete - ZBrush
SubTool Delete is a free plugin that I developed in my free time!
Pay what you think it's worth!
By default deleting subtools in ZBrush can get messy, if you delete a subtool that is in a closed folder, the entire folder will get deleted, and there are no undo to get anything back unless you saved it previously.
This plugin helps you eliminate the risk of accidentally deleting Subtool folders, and feel safer when deleting subtools.
Delete
Function similar to ZBrush delete, it will have a popup to confirm deletion. But when deleting subtool in a closed folder it ask :
Delete Subtool Only | Delete Folder | Cancel
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Undo
Undo the last delete subtool (Folders not included). This function is highjacking the ZBrush Copy and Paste function, the user still can use the Copy and Paste function, just note that it will get overwritten by the delete function if undo is enabled

Popup
Enable/Disable the confirmation pop-up on deletion.

Enable Undo
Enable/Disable Undo function
All of these buttons can be assigned shortcut or dragged into a custom menu.

I would recommend taking Delete and Undo into a custom menu that you can call with a shortcut like this:
Installation:
- Close ZBrush 2022
- If you currently have a version of Subtool Delete installed delete the 'Subtool_Delete.zsc' from Pixologic/ZBrush 2022/ZStartup/ZPlugs64/
- Extract the Zip file
- Copy Subtool_Delete.zsc to Pixologic/ZBrush 2022/ZStartup/ZPlugs64/
- Launch ZBrush
- Subtool Delete will be located in the ZPlugins Tab at the top
This plugin has had limited testing and could contain potential bugs.
